Think Pink

think pink! think pink! when you shop for summer clothes.
Think pink! think pink! if you want that quel-que chose.
Red is dead, blue is through
Green’s obscene, brown’s taboo.
And there is not the slightest excuse for plum or puce
—or chartreuse.
Think pink! forget that Dior says black and rust.
Think pink! who cares if the new look has no bust.
Now, I wouldn’t presume to tell a woman
what a woman oughtta think,
But tell her if she’s gotta think: think pink—!
(Maggie Prescott, Funny Face)

Pink is the sista’ of red symbolizing fire, excitement, and intense feeling even including angry. Pink is often associated with love and romance. Every Valentine’s day, the shopping malls, the stores, the shopping mall, the chocolates, and even we turn to pink. At least, that is what I saw in the last Valentino’s spring/summer 2008 show. It was opened with sweet playful modern pink women and closed with the pink goddesses.

Some might consider pink is too girly or too feminine. Personally, I think pink is sweet. Regardless of that, contrasted with the sister (red), a research by Dr. Alexander Schauss, Ph.D., director of the American Institute for Biosocial Research in Tacoma Washington has concluded that one shade of pink called drunk tank pink has a calming effect. He inquired that pink can suppress angry, antagonistic, and anxiety ridden behavior among prisoners.

So, if your closet is thirsty of color, opt for pink. It can make your inner romantic personality shine and it can bring peace to the world. Whenever you walk down the street, pink may save you from crime. 🙂
